Review of Maypole Motors Surbiton Ltd.

We have used Maypole Motors for our last three MOTs each with a service included and they initially seemed ok however the car arrived back lacking power on the first occasion but was in fact driven by my wife for a year without complaint. For the second MOT when taking it in I mentioned the lack of power but no real notice taken. We then immediately had problems with the car revving up uncontrollably and we were told it was the "Air mass sensor" which they duly changed and charged us for even though it had just come out of a service. over the next four weeks we had the car back in for the same problem. We were finanlly told that they had been using none Ford parts and they had replaced these twice. They then said they would replace them with the correct Ford part and only charged us 50% more. We had to accept this or no car ( they had us by the short and curlies). Nearly a year later we went through the same thing again, MOT and a service. We picked the car up late Friday night and immediately it became apperent that not all was right, it ran very rough and the tickover was far to low. The following day it started to rev up and down just like it had done before when the air mass sensor was failing ( we think but we are not mechanics). They then took it in this morning and although it had never been right since having it back from the so called service last friday they have now charged us a further £38.00 for correcting their mistakes. I stress that the car was allright before the service but it was not right when returned to us. I think any one shoulkd take great care when considering using this company, certainly we will not be using them again!!!
